In 2022 I followed the apprentice training at Grafische Werkplaats Amsterdam (GWA). For nine months, we, a group of four creatives, receive extensive instructions on various printing techniques on the letterpress. The end result was a 2023 agenda that we printed from scratch.
For this agenda we combined the old techniques with the very latest: the letters and shapes were not only made of lead and wood, but also of resin, plywood and many other materials. It was printed page by page on the 1910 Johannisberg Stop cylinder press, in a limited edition. The agenda is hand-bound.
To promote our agenda I designed the graphic image based on the collational block, which we printed on a flyer but also screen printed on the t-shirts and bags.
The process of creating the agenda.
