Clothing is often called the second skin, but the skin itself is actually also a kind of textile. From the fact that the skin of a human being has an area of an average of one and a half to two square meters and inspired by seventeenth century anatomical representations, I'm weaving a blanket / carpet in the form of a peeled human skin. A blanket / carpet laid on the floor in the shape of a sheet will be reminiscent of a crime scene or a hunting trophy, with which I also want to awaken a connotation with colonialism. On the other hand, when you use it as a blanket, it offers warmth and protection, almost literally like the second skin.
