To better understand the materials I work with and their connection to human life, I experiment extensively—often creating the materials myself and combining various techniques. I also explore the complexities of the modern textile industry, learning about its challenges and searching for more sustainable alternatives. My dream has been to revive the use of natural fibers and dyes as an alternative to the toxic practices of the modern clothing industry. However, I recognize that such solutions alone cannot sustain our culture of overconsumption. Reducing consumption must be the first step toward meaningful change.
